Like the house, which has remained in its original state since the 1970s, the living room needed a real facelift. The old tiled floor, exposed beams and massive fireplace darkened the room, and the old-fashioned furniture cluttered the space.

Redone from the floor to the ceiling, the room has changed its face. Entirely open-plan, the living room has gained in volume and offers a fluid and airy living space. The old fireplace has been replaced by a contemporary model with clean lines, while color brightens and energizes the room. A real makeover! Find more photos and our full report here.

Also stuck in a faded decor, this living room needed a serious update. The massive furniture took up a lot of space and gave the room a cramped air. As for the colors, faded, they no longer had anything attractive.

Completely refurbished and redecorated, the room is transformed. The old striped wallpaper has given way to light colors and contemporary patterns. The old-fashioned furniture has also disappeared in favor of a much more convivial family sofa. The living room is thus bathed in a brighter, very welcoming atmosphere. Built in the 60s, this little house was in need of modernization. The interior, like the living room, was a bit tight so that its owners could comfortably receive family and friends. It was therefore necessary to enlarge it to create a large living room, and give it a more current air.

Rid of its partitions, and embellished with an extension, the ground floor now offers a generous living room, with a large living-dining room connected to the kitchen. The old red brick fireplace has been replaced by a more designer model, and the terracotta tiles by a warm wooden floor. The whole also benefits from a beautiful entry of light thanks to large picture windows. Find more photos and our full report here.

This pavilion had not been renovated for decades. The living spaces therefore needed to be redesigned, like the old-fashioned living room, which, above all, lacked light. To remedy the problem, the interior designer chose to tear down the partition between the kitchen and the living room (the wall on the left in the photo), in order to take advantage of an additional entry of natural light.

Now bathed in light, the room has also gained in volume and comfort. The old tiling has given way to a lighter wooden floor, which helps to illuminate the living room and create a warm atmosphere. Arranged in a Scandinavian spirit, the living room exudes softness and friendliness. Find more photos and our full report here.

Overlooked by a mezzanine which suffocated it, this living room suffered from impractical interior fittings. The owners, who wanted to replace the glass roof, therefore took advantage of the work to reorganize the space.

To optimize the room, the architect chose to close the volume of the mezzanine to install a comfortable bedroom. The living room has been rearranged at the foot of the glass roof (the owners thus enjoy a breathtaking view of the Sacré-Coeur Basilica), and the dining area under the mezzanine. A lot of storage has also been made to measure to make the best use of the available space. Find more photos and our full report here.

Despite the creation of a 10 m2 bedroom, the living room seems more spacious than before. The trick? Well-defined living spaces. The living room area is now well separated from the dining area, giving the room an impression of light and volume. Find more photos and our full report here.

This living room had the charm of Haussmann apartments, but lacked a little personality to the taste of its owner. He therefore wanted to give it a little relief without embarking on major works. Mission: revamp the room on a tight budget.

The decorator managed to transform the room with a few brushstrokes and well-found furniture. The woodwork (plinths and window) have been repainted, a strip of carpet has replaced the tiling in front of the window, curtains, a sofa and two small coffee tables bring a touch of color and character to the living room.
