Want to tinker? Why not make a sofa out of pallets for your garden yourself? Easy to make, it is also easy to integrate on your patio. The proof in 10 examples.
This is one of the major DIY trends: the reuse of materials considered as waste, also called “upcycling”. And in this category, wooden pallets used in distribution offer many possibilities. Inside, they turn into base of an extra bed, as a dining table, in a desk, at the head of the bed, or even as a coffee table when fitted with wheels. Outside, you can make canapes resistant, tables that are easy to move, original planters or even storage racks for your garden tools. In a few hours, and for a few euros, you can revamp your terrace using pallets intended for the recycling center, repainted or varnished, and transformed into clever and unique garden furniture. If you opt for a pallet sofa for your patio, be aware that most DIY stores and some home decor stores now offer seats and cushions adapted to the dimensions of the pallets, which allows you to garnish them easily, even if you are not good at sewing!

The idea to copy: Superimpose mattresses, toppers, floor cushions and other comfort cushions on the pallets, to obtain a unique sofa, ultra comfortable and very welcoming. Remember, of course, to choose only fabrics that are water-repellent or suitable for bad weather.

The idea to copy: Combine warm colors, such as brick red, buttercup yellow or orange, with the color palette of the garden plants, which are rather cold. The contrast creates an almost exotic atmosphere, sometimes reminiscent of the hacienda style. Also think of the pallet coffee table!

The idea to copy: Paint the pallets. If we like their raw side, a little paint will immediately give them a much more chic look. You can then fill them with soft cushions chosen in assorted colors for an elegant result, or on the contrary, mix the colors for an exterior that exudes good humor.
