Want a decoration that sparkles? It’s time to play with the brush. Painting is indeed your best ally to bring a touch of color here and there, and transform your home inexpensively. A colored section of wall, a horizontal strip, graphic patterns … sometimes not much is enough to give relief to its interior or redefine space.
“A graphic effect makes it possible to signify a particular space, an office for example, an entrance, a play area in a child’s room …” confirms Catherine Filoche, consultant stylist at Dulux Valentine. “It is also a way of providing drawing without having to use wallpaper, which is more complicated to replace”. On the color side, we are inspired by fall trends and a rich palette full of character. If natural dyes are still among the safe values, we also dare adopt dark colors : chocolate, burgundy red, pepper, ink blue, bronze, tropical green … For the less reckless, we also pick on the side of pastel, softer and very bright. “The trend is also to put its interior in the spotlight, to give it back a little cachet” adds Catherine Filoche.
